About us
Boondocks started as a family dream in South Mississippi. The first location, Boondocks BBQ, was opened in 2013 in Benndale, Mississippi, by our founder and family matriarch, serving authentic, slow-smoked barbecue rooted in tradition and Southern hospitality. After graduating from Belhaven University, owner Kody McCraney opened the second Boondocks BBQ location in Wiggins, Mississippi, with a vision of bringing that same hometown flavor and atmosphere to more communities across the state. Today, Boondocks JXN proudly stands as the third Boondocks BBQ location, blending family roots with a fresh, community-focused experience. Known for our signature ribs and brisket, Boondocks serves classic Mississippi barbecue made with time, passion, and bold flavor. Whether you’re joining us for lunch, family dinner, catering, or a private event in The Backyard, our goal is simple: serve great food and create a place where people feel at home.

Omg had my wife birthday gig at Boondocks it was awesome. Owners and Management great service! Price is on point and the food was great! You must try everything and I mean Everything…wings are smoked and deep fried! Did I say Smoked and deep fried! Get there now! Fondren is my new spot
